YSL recently participated in a volunteering event at the Samaritan Inn, a local homeless shelter. The event was focused on providing assistance to the shelter and its residents, specifically by preparing and serving meals to those in need. Upon arrival, YSL volunteers were given a brief orientation about the shelter and its services, as well as instructions on how to prepare the meals for the day. They then worked alongside other volunteers and staff members in the shelter’s kitchen to prepare sandwiches for the residents. Overall, the volunteering event at the Samaritan Inn was a meaningful and fulfilling experience for YSL volunteers. By contributing their time and effort to the preparation and serving of meals, they helped to provide a basic necessity to those in need.
